Bahcehlievler
So i met with someone from The Company today...we met in the city of bahcehlievler, which is in the city of Ankara..(yes there's lots of cities within the city...it's pretty confusing) anyways I'd never been there before so it was an interesting experience...i actually got there pretty well but got very lost trying to come back to campus. First off, all the buses look the exact same so I got on the wrong bus by accident...I realized partly through that we were heading in the wrong direction but hoped it'd circle back around to where I got on. Nope. When the driver stopped in a place I'd never been I went up to him and asked in turkish "How do you get to ODTU?" His astonished face told me I must be farther than I thought. I asked him if there was another bus i could take there but he just shook his head and pointed straight. I walked for a bit but there wasn't a lot of people around so when i came across two guys i asked them where i could get a taxi. At that point I figured paying for a taxi was my best bet of getting home. He pointed me down a side street which was rather suspicious looking so as i was walking down it I saw a mother with a little child and asked her. She took me back out to the main road and after about 10min walk in the opposite direction of where the man had told me to go, I got a taxi! So I'm back in campus safe and sound minus the fact that I ate chicken in Bahcehliever and got rather sick from it...still don't feel so hot...I’m never eating chicken in that city again! But Jamie from The Company taught me a cool turkish board game so know I know how to play a turkish game! :) I tried to upload a photo of the game but this website wouldn't let me today :/
