Today was surprisingly an extremely slow day at work due partly to the fact that my LC was not in the office today. So this afternoon we went back to the senate gallery to watch and got to hear lots of people talk and rated their ties (I will explain this in a min). I forgot it's always freeeeezing in there! The one day I don't bring a jacket...I had goosebumps the whole time.
About the ties...it started back earlier this month that Lauren started teasing Brent for always wearing blue ties. This evolved into her, and then all of us, rating his tie everyday against other ties worn by senators or world leaders that day. The ultimate goal is for him to beat President Obama's tie, which he has yet to accomplish. I have to say, I'd never really paid attention to ties before this or knew how much work goes into them lol. The closest he's come to winning was w/ a blue 3D tie. If he does beat Obama's tie, I will let you know. (because I know this is a life or death issue that you must know...)
