Ground Zero, Transformers, and Doctor Seuss

Here's a fun story I learned about the pentagon when I spent the morning there on wed. You know how in the center of the pentagon you can walk outside? Well there's a smaller building in the middle and in the cold war the Soviet's cameras noticed a lot of people going in and out of there. When they came out, many people were carrying something in brown bags that they thought were documents. So the soviets decided it was an entrance to an underground part of the pentagon and blew it up. Turns out it was a hot dog building. It's since been rebuilt and renamed Ground Zero Hotdogs - the deadliest hotdogs in the world.

Today I got to see Transformers 3 in 3D again :) this time with Tiffany.

Some of my favorite lines were:
“We-are-family…”
“We’re in the heart of their ship.” “We’re gonna do some daaam-age!”
“We had a good run.” “Yup. We’re gonna die.”
“Years from now people are gonna ask, ‘where were you when they took over our planet?’ and I’m gonna say, ‘We just stood by and watched.’”

After the movie Tiff and I had a wonderful cupcake from baked and wired. Then I went to go see the stairs from The Exorsist. I would put pictures up of it and the other things I’ve taken pictures of so far, but alas, my laptop is still being fixed. (I think we’re on week 5 or 6 of them having it now…) So pictures will have to wait. I wandered down to the water and spent some time there. Very lovely. Then spent some time reading in Barnes & Noble with a strawberry and crème frap J Read some philosophy and then balanced it out with some Doctor Seuss. Hey, you know you love Doctor Seuss too J

“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You’re on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the guy who’ll decide where to go.
You’ll look up and down streets. Look’em over with care. About some you will say, “I don’t choose to go there.” With your head full of brains and your shoes full of feet, you’re too smart to go down a not-so-good street.
And you may not find any you’ll want to go down. In that case, of course, you’ll head straight out of town. It’s opener there in the wide open air.
Out there things can happen and frequently do to people as brainy and footsy as you.
And when things start to happen, don’t worry. Don’t stew. Just go right along. You’ll start happening too.”
