So a few nights ago Marvey learned the word “teapot” in English, which got the song I’m a Little Teapot stuck in my head. Naturally, I started singing it and doing the motions. My roommates were laughing so hard…poor things, they never knew the teapot song :P
Last night I ran into a girl who lives in my dorm that I’ve helped her with her English off and on. She said, “you…last night, was in my dream.” I replied, “Really? Well I was just stopping by in your dream to say hello.” Lol
Last winter in Ankara it didn’t know until late January. Then there was snow for 2 days, by the third day it was gone, and that was winter. This is was I came prepared for and was dreaming of…not Michigan came to Ankara winter! Lol
So about two weeks ago one of the guys who works in the food place by my dorm asked my name and I told him “Courtney” while waiting to see what sort of name he would end up saying. Only a handful of people have been able to say my name. My roommates can now that they’ve worked on it, but they don’t know how to spell it. I’ve met two Turkish people who pronounced it right on the first few tries. His version of it was Cory. Hey, at least it sounds kinda like Courtney! So no w every time he seems me, he waves and yells from across the building “Hello Cory!” lol it’s pretty funny.
